Max Midldleton wrote The Loner and dedicated it "to" Jeff Beck (as appose to wrote "for" Jeff Beck), Clem Clempson is one of the industries most respected guitarists, this live recording showcases why.

@SJQK Do you know where I can find Jeff Beck's version? I've searched pretty thoroughly and can't find any reference to a Beck recording, or even live performance!

I was at this gig in the 2nd or 3rd row - brings back good memories, thanks for posting. I'm sure I heard that Max Middleton "wrote The Loner for Jeff Beck", yet I'm not aware that JB has ever recorded or performed it. Does anyone know different? Clem does a great job, but it really would be a Beck showcase I think.
