because of the hot weather a bubble of air was formed under the court absorbing the ball almost like a pillow, workers then drilled 2 holes to let the air out and gravity was restored

i read an article about this, what happened is that an air bubble was created due to the heat. Creating a dead spot that absorbs shocks. To help this problem they drilled holes in the court to let the gasses out.

OMG when i saw this i thought it was the due to an anomily too. not the ball. the court can't loose it's hardnes.

@fulluvshit well that is certainly possible although highly unlikely. If I were a betting man I'd bet that the ball was faulty - we didn't see another ball being tried.
