Trent Reznor Rare Interview Series 4/8

This is part four of a rare Trent Reznor interview series I'm posting.

This series comes from some audio interviews I've had laying around for years that I've never come across out there on the wwwebs. So I thought I'd share them with the ETS community and anyone else who's interested.

As I said above, these were AUDIO ONLY interviews, I've simply put them to an animated photo of Trent. So don't freak out. :P

nfi, in an interview back in '94 he said he hated them, in essence (my interpretation) he was saying if you wanted to listen to watered down, mainstream music filtered through the "what's popular at the time" grind by a band that has sold out, listen to PJ.

i am a huge PJ fan..thats why I was a little bummed to hear Trent say that...I understand why he said it, it makes sence. But damn. NIN ruled my life in that period and sometimes now, but PJ has always been special

That was only my interpretation of what I thought Trent was saying, not my personal feelings towards PJ.

Art is subjective, just because Trent doesn't like PJ doesn't mean you can't.

I don't mind the occasional PJ song myself. But NIN are number 1 for me. ;)

If by "fake", you mean it's an animated photo, not a video of Trent talking, obviously you would be correct, since that is what I have stated it is in the video description, it makes your comment kind of pointless.

However, if you don't think it's Trents voice, then you are just plain wrong.

Trent's been on record a dozen times. "I've never been a fan of, you know, guitar, bass, drums. Seattle head banging bands." That's from the '94 Disturbed interview. And I've heard him say it again. He just hated the grunge genre. I couldn't say why.
