@PsychopathInFoil For the most part this is true. However, if you are trying to go from say 9 - 10% body fat to 6 - 7% body fat, carb cycling is great.
Once again, another guy with a theory that has never been proven. Done low carb (<20 grams/day) and never did weightloss slow down one bit. What you fail to mention about why some people don't lose weight on low carb diets after the first few weeks is because they believe(because of Atkin's claim) that they are able to eat unlimited amounts of fat and protein and continue to lose weight, which just isn't going to happen if they over consume calories.
