  • @HSMiyamoto That's not entirely true. The Suffragists were known for more radical tactics while the Suffragettes were not. There is a distinction.

  • @HSMiyamoto I'm doing an essay on Alice Paul, and I was wondering if you have a reference you could share so I can use this little fact.

  • Very informative, thanks!

  • Another important Suffragist who worked with Alice Paul was Lucy Burns. She was equally awesome

  • FYI to Viewers: "Woman Suffrage" supporters hated being called "Suffragettes," and insisted on "Suffragists."

"Suffragettes" was invented in Britain to belittle the violent campaign by the Woman's Political and Social Union (WPSU) to win votes for women there.

  • Does any know what channel this aired on?

  • @bonfirejovi Watch too much Glenn Beck?

  • alice paul, most amazing woman.!
