@PAKETEMON it´s based on volkswagen components but a lot is developed in Czech Republic. Finally it´s a czech car and the differences between this and the Volkswagen Passat are quiete huge...

Skoda is CZECH!!! Germans only bought it! Czechs helping VW group with engines and many other things... For example, Skoda completely develops 1.2 HTP engines in theirs development centres. And thats the most common engine at VW group! So we have some share on VW engine technologies too! And I only speak about engines, in other technologies, skoda is very inovative brand too!
