Yes the conditions for stability like we have on Earth to evolve even moderately advanced beings like humans is unlikely but the universe is HUGE...and now there are theories that suggest a multiverse made up of millions of universes. It amazing to think about. I know there are other life forms out there. Why haven't we seen them? Probably because we live out in the "amish country" of the Milkyway.
