Spieldberg was NOT choses as the director; Yimou Zhang was the director. Since Spieldberg knew Yimou pretty well through their movie making, he ASKED Yimou if he could join his team. Yimou is a very polite man, so he agreed. But this Hollywood ego's head got too hot and he started to think that he was really needed for the game. What a big fool he is! Now Spieldberg cannot take any credit for a hugely successful game. Yimou Zhang created a magnificent show!
