A beginning angler's very first time hooking into a monster salmon. I met him on the river, re-outfitted him, and tutored him about drift-fishing. This fish he fights is massive but the fight was something to watch. This tutorial has a great deal of annotations with supplemental fishing techniques to help you too get salmon on the hook using drift fishing techniques.

  • Remember...this sis a Fishing Tutorial. This angler struggled for two years. I met him on the river, re-outfitted him with the right gear, showed him how to address the water, and he hooked into this awesome monster! One day of tutoring and he hooks into a Massive fish. The frame-by-frame shows that its around 48 inches. That's 4-feet! How many beginning fishermen can say that? Tight Lines, TK

  • God what a fish story, I can't beleive I watched this whole thing just to see you lose the fish, I think it was a log and when you got close it let go of the line,, ha ha ha,,, man what a story, the fish topping were just other fish in the water,,,, too long of a fight for one thing, you never had control of this fish, it controled you all the way

  • @KidsKicksforChrist love it too. Remember, it's not just that it was a battle but that the angler I was tutoring had never done it before. The outfitted gear he was using was all wrong so I changed it out and Fish On! I met him on the river where he was struggling just to do a typical drift. No one would share information with him. Did you see the frame-by-frame? It was a monster and the stills show a great beast on his line. Take care, TK

  • @TimothyKusherets oops...just to be clear it's I.G.F.A. and not F.F. International Game and Fish Association. Thanks for the feedback.

  • @TimothyKusherets Thank you

  • @sov19871987 International Game and Fish Association, I.G.F.F., rules state very clearly that to claim any fishing world record that all leaders must not be more than 6-feet long; this is the prime reason why I say to anglers not to use longer or ruin their chances at an official world record. In most cases however, leaders don't need to be much longer than four due to water clarity, depth, and reach of the hold.
