Nope, the newspaper was...well it was desintegrated after putting it at 3500 Rpm in the Fan...^^

my fan was like that on mine check the electro magnetic clutch mechanism works on it,coz if it dont and ure stuck in traffic for a long while ule get a fright other than that they are longliving and reliable

Well, that is normal. It was cold and the magnetic clutch wasn't turned on. ;)

Great engines, i had ocassion to drive on my father's W124 with 230E engine, nice power, nice windy sound of this big fan :) and very clear oil when we take of a cover of valves ... nice :)

@benzyeap ok buy(redex injector cleaner 500ml) for carburettor in your case,this is a 4 time application but you can put the hole bottle in a full tank of petrol for instant and extreme result and make sure you drive the car in high revs 3000 and over or you can rev it whilst stationary so the carbon deposits clogging the injectors can be pushed out thus causing less emissions(black smoke),better economy and a good cold start.

on the gearbox issue mine was the throttle cable so buy a new one and have it set up by someone who knows what they are doing. now i can get sport mode properly

hi i have some question. my w123 200 always fail of tuning co.

every time i top up full tank of petrol early morning difficult to start up the engine. if the engine start running will come a bit black smoke.let the car warm up 2min then ok and smooth. if the petrol less very easy to start the engine .
