Wisconsin Gun Season Opening Day Highlights 2009

These are the highlights from our opening day of the Wisconsin Gun Deer season. Joe fills his antlerless tag on a 3 year old doe around 8:20 a.m. My son, Cullen, fills his antlerless tag on a button buck in the afternoon. After Saturday we never saw another deer during the remainder of the season.

Great family hunt. Don't worry about what someone else would or would not shoot. Actually, most of the idiots that complain about what you shoot would have shot it too, but it makes them feel good to say that they would only shoot a Boone and Crockett buck. Usually they are not really hunters.

Shoot another one just like that one, post the video here, and I'll watch it gladly.

Because, if you were a hunter you would think that any deer legally and humanly taken, especially by a youth hunter is a great accomplishment, regardless of its size. @87irocz350TPI I agree with you, people whine about not seeing any deer but shoot everything they see. That would be why you don't see anything the following year!!! Leave hunting to people who know how to manage their deer population. As a Wisconsinite i was embarassed by the fawn kill.

GREAT VIDEO ......don't pay attention to the haters that can't find the deer...Keep try n with the pistol I shot one on the first day last year with a 45 colt. also that is awesome when the wod hits the deer LOL!!!
