a re-edit of the same thing, but with different visuals and sound in the second half, and 4 minutes of video cut, as I uploaded earlire (wasn't accepted due to being too long)

chopping in the video is a result of playing with 256mb of ram and onboard graphics, which was using 32mb of the ram at the time.

  • Hey Dude,I don't know if it's me or does it seem that ur aiming is a tad bit offset?

  • Some weapons are not entirely point-based (ie: your weapons converge on a point).

    Examples of this are APCs and machineguns in close-quarters combat. To remedy this I adjust my aim as I see the bullets impacting on a point so that they hit what I want them to.

    I meant to say "AACs", not "APCs" - as in, the autocannon thingies.

    I preferred using laser weapons on APCs and missile tanks etc anyway, since it doesn't use any ammo and wasting time trying to get close enough to them to step on them (besides the fact that their explosions do leg and some torso damage) gives them time to shoot at me. :l

  • Mods and cheats? First my hud is much different, I don't have that first blue mech,and my mechlab looks different.

  • Mod, yes - Mekpak 3 - as stated in the video description.

    Cheats? Er, no.

    I'm not sure, but I don't think the HUD changes at all between plain old Mech4: Mercenaries and Mekpak3. The Mech lab looks a bit different as a direct result of Mekpak3.

  • @IShallRuleOneDay With online combat in mechwarrior, latency plays a big factor as to where your target is. At least that's how it was in MW3. Sometimes what you see isn't necessarily where the opponent is, so an adjustment to where you fire your weapons is needed. And trying to hit a moving target with the reticle directly on the target when using ballistics usually will result in missing the target.
