  • excellent hands on demonstartion ..do you think you could mix mulched timber with shredded tyres and place in a gasifier..as i am just contemplating trying to make one but looking at a downdraft method which i believe yours is correct? melvin in uk

  • You can use that mixture but you may create excessive tar which may cause problems when used in an internal combustion engine.

    Good luck

    Charlie

  • Very interesting, thank you !

  • Your welcome. Are you working on gasification also?? We are working on our next type which will be fully automated.

  • Yes, I'm building gasifiers for mobile and stationary use based on the FEMA design, modified in some areas. This year, I am planning to convert an Unimog 404 to woodgas. I wish you good luck and also commercial success with your products. Kind regards, Hardy

  • This unit is very well suited for emergency power generation as the syngas can be directly used in an almost any IC engine with little modifications. The tars and excess contaminants are destroyed in the process and it is very clean burning.

Good luck and let us know how it goes with the 404 conversion.

  • Are there any gasifiers out there that can use cords of wood?

  • The only problem I see is that you did not do a 45kw energy draw from the gen set.

3.4 kw was not a real load test.....

  • Great video...

  • Btu = British Thermal Units for your information...

  • was it a gas or diesel generator ?

    what it cost ?

  • Is that gasifier able to run the generator at 80% capacity (at 36 kW)? /The metal saw you said has 4.2 HP and that's actually just 3.13 kW (or 3.09 in metric horsepower - PS), so you're not using even 10% of the generator's nominal rating./

  • what is the cost of your unit?

  • The generator has to have a change in the air-fuel mixture. Normal ratio is 10 air to 1 fuel. With syngas, the ratio should be 1 to 1.

The syngas is cleaned in the reactor and conditioning tank. Our design is unique and that's why the gas comes out clean without scrubbers, filters, etc.

  • Hi,

our number is 248-203-1096-- talk to mark

  • What modifications were needed for the generator to run on Syngas? How is waste product removed from the reactor vessel? How is the syngas cleaned? Thanks.........Jeffrey
