From Massey Hall on Oct 31, 06 in Toronto. It was Halloween, so Death Cab came out for their encore dressed as Devo. They played 4 of their songs, including Whip It and Girl U Want, which I recorded. For the third one, all the roadies and crew came out and bounced around stage in Devo costumes.
This is priceless.

Devo is our heritage. They speak of a time when the Midwest
meant something, before jobs were exported overseas.
While it is peppy, there is an underlying sadness to it, don't
you think?

I agree. All you shitters putting them down, they were just having fun and I think it was a great performance, really hilarious!

Not bad covers, but it really throws into relief how good a band Devo is.
Good effort, kids (sarcasm).

They only covered it because it was Halloween and they had costumes. It was in fun.
