Best JRPG this generation... instant classic. Probably the story is not as epic as FF6 or 7 or even xenogears but at the end of the day, it is the fun that counts. The most important change this game has brought to us is its fresh take at the tactical rpg genre. I loved FF Tactics, the Wild Arm Series, Arc the Lad... but not being confined to a grid... is well... liberating. :D

I love the graphics, it reminds me of LEVEL-5s' Dark Chronicle (Dark Cloud 2), Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King and Rogue Galaxy, whose games I loved and still play from time to time. If anyone has played these games before would you recommend Valkyria Chronicles as a similar game?

so far I have only played the 2nd game since I only have a psp the 2nd one is still fun and the story is good even though it is a little more light hearted the graphics are good too and the voice acting is well done. The 2nd one does not have as much voice acting but theres like 65% no vouce acting and 35% voice acting and there are less anime cutscences. BUT HELL the 2nd one is fun and has a good story. I HOPE TO PLAY THIS GAME IF THE VITA WILL ALLOW IT.

@lasermac83 Yeah, I actually just got my PS3 a couple months ago. Was $300 for the 320gig and it came with the entire Uncharted Trilogy and a $50 Amazon gift card which is as good as cash. So glad I just kept catching up on all the great, cheap PS2 games. Not only did I get to play tons of good games that I missed, many of which are now some of my favorite games of all time, but now I can buy all the PS3 games I want super cheap.

@LucidDreamz613 I just got a PS3 earlier and Valkyria Chronicles for $25 brand new. So happy, lol! I already have Star Ocean on the Xbox 360 but I'm still getting the PS3 version for the anime portraits, japanese voices, but mainly because of the fact that I won't need to swap discs anymore.
