  • Those uttering the word "unprofessional" obviously are not actors or writers. If an actor/relationship comes into a storyline and they do a phenomenal job, the writers will want to bank on something that's WORKING. Real emotions included. You'd be surprised how many times a storyline is changed because of real life events. A script is never final, it can change during writing, the filming, and especially during editing.

  • I don't see how it's unprofessional. It is quite likely that the accident also caused the writers to view the relationship in a different light...for everyone, the risk of losing Trucco/Anders became a reality and they were all dealing with their own reactions to that, and it became part of the show.

I'm biased anyway because I always wanted them to end up together, so I was happy with the ending! I'm so glad that Kara realised in the end just how much she loved her husband.

    *tear*

  • In this show any one storyline, "major" or "minor," has a sweeping effect on many characters in one way or another. And when characters are affected, so are the actors that portray them. If it is true that Katee's feeling changed the direction of storylines that means that other actors may very well have lost screen time to accommodate these changes. And THAT is unprofessional - to have your own personal feelings hurt another actor in some way. And it just seems like she lost perspective.

  • That's the word: UNPROFESSIONAL.

    For several sides.

  • Well, first, it's not the whole storyline for the show, far from it. It's not even the whole storyline for Kara, nor Sam; it's one aspect. There is a tendency among fans to feel strongly about the romantic relationships on shows, but it's far from the most important aspect of this story.

That said, we also don't know if Katee and Michael walked to the wirters and said, "We're bff and would love for our chars to stay together" or if the power of their performances alone influenced the writers.

  • Wow, um ... with all respect for Katee and Michael's friendship and the horrible situation of his accident... that's almost unprofessional to let personal feelings for a fellow actor change the whole storyline for the show.

  • Yay! Sammy!

  • pretty big spoiler she dropped there

  • yeah .... jumping up and down.

I just hope she's not kidding.
