I'm singing On My Own from the musical Les Miserables.
OOps, I cracked on one of my low notes.

  • nice rendition but no one can take Lea Salonga's performance. Her articulation is just exceedingly awesome. Simply flawless! I heart her for always :)

  • I agree with you completely!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Lea's amazing!!

  • Great song for you but why did you shy away from the 2 power notes in the song?? "I've only been pretending" and "that I have never known" ... sounds like your voice would've NAILED those notes!! Keep up the great singing!

  • I tried but they're a tad high for me and I just couldn't hit them. So I played it safe.

  • I won't compare you to Lea Salonga, so I can be fair to you. Your voice is beautiful, and your tone is lovely... there's a very sultry sound in your lower register. You might need to work on some more control, which is always hard even for the pro's anyway, but really, you did this song justice. A bit literal on some of the hand movements, but I love what you did to the song as a whole. There's a clear emotion underneath the delivery. Now, next time try not to "play safe" on the high notes.

  • Very nice voice!

  • @gwendolyn26 I really like that way =)

  • I really like your voice, and the song. But such dramatic changes to the original! Your last note doesn't make sense... you could go higher with it. My biggest gripe is how you flatten the "beSI-I-DE me" type notes. Only Lea Salonga can get away with that, and she doesn't always make it sound natural. When it's not natural, it's a gimmick. C'mon, do the given notes. You'll be more believable. And WHY don't people sing this song on a remote mic walking around in sparkly moonlit darkness??

  • Well done.

  • u need more filing, more emotion !!

  • I think I might be unpopular for saying this, but (other than the big notes, which you'd nail with enough practise, I can hear it) I rate your version as good as Lea's. There's just something in her voice...

But neither are as good as my friend Sarah's. She is simple STUNNING in every way tbh :)

  • The art of a great singer is when l believe them and you made me believe you, thanks Pete

  • She should have raised the key slightly higher, her voice is i think too high for her to sing in this, this was written for altos or for sporanos who has a wide range like lea salonga.

  • GOOD JOB!!! Loved your voice~ :)
