  • @0salot We didn't evolve from chimps, we evolved from a common ancestor. Humans branched out in one direction, while chimps branched out in the other.

  • people who say we havent evolved from these, and landed on earth exactly how we are today are as clever as these chimps

  • @LuminolBlue humans of african descendant (blacks) show the closest resemblence to apes in humans in the facial features. Particularily gorillas and chimps and bonobos

  • @0salot we didn't evolve from them we had a common ancestor

  • social drama lol!

  • how did humans come to be?? ancient aliens...

  • @LuminolBlue Come on. Everybody knows we were made out of clay 4,000 years ago.

  • @shea333 How do you know that nonhuman primates do not have a concept for measuring intelligence? They can't convey that message to us because they do not wish to and cannot speak because it is physically impossible. Also, it is adaptive for us to develop mechanisms where we display our superior intelligence instead of our superior physical stature because humans have evolved to be less sexually dimorphic.

  • @shea333 Numerical abilities are just as important to nonhuman primates because of food competition, this is shown through research in primate fairness. Theory of mind- do you honestly think that these animals don't know that another individual has a different mindset from their own? I'm sorry, but you, again, are either biased or uneducated becuase everything you are arguing against has been proven in primatology studies.

  • @shea333 Well then you are mistaken. You should take a primate behavior class. Nonhuman primates have acheived the highest level in tool making; the meta tool, which is using a tool to create another tool. They are better at spatial memory, actually (research has proven this). Nonhuman primates are SO much better at short term memory-look it up! And long term memory is more important to them as well because of dominance hierarchies.

  • @SElement91 I am sure there are certain mental things chimpanzees can do better than us. So I believe you when you say that, but I do not think it is fair to say they are as intelligent as us, as we came up with the concept.

  • @SElement91 I agree they have the same abilities. I do not agree with you when you say they are as intelligent. I do not agree with you when you say they are just as good with tools, spatial memory, theory of mind, memory and numerical abilities. That is all I am going to say. We came up with the concept of intelligence, we measure intelligence in other animals to have an idea what it means to us. And I never once said they were lesser you are making things up again.
