Holocaust follows the tragedy and triumph of the Weiss family of Berlin and intertwines their fate as European Jews with the story of a German family, the Dorfs, whose members include a high-ranking Nazi officer. Filmed on location in Germany and Austria, Holocaust uses the stories of these fictional families to portray the atrocities against the Jewish people from the 1930s to 1945, and presents a heart-wrenching portrait of their struggle.

This is the anniversary edition released in the U.S. and Canada in 2008.

@wormsquish Schindlers list came from the novel Schindlers ark by Thomas Keneally,an Australian writer.

Keneally met one of the people who survived because of Schindler and from listening to his experiences in the war wrote the book in 1982. The novel won the major literary prize called the Booker prize in the same year and became a standard high school text in Australia in 1983.

It is sooo tiresome the way some people go on and on about "inaccuracies" but do not ever specify precisely what the inaccuracy is. It's as though the rest of us are thought of as uneducated illiterate dummies watching some trivial little movie that says nothing. NOT!
