Does he mean it or does he play a mind game

Me and my boyfriend of 4 years and the father of my 1 1/2 year old child, broke up with me three days ago... he was shocked when he found out I was getting an apartment by myself,and acted a little dumbfounded... was he hoping I would be depressed without him? I am but I don't show him... and I told him I was moving 4 hours away in six months... he said he was depressed when he first heard this but he hopes me the best and hopes I find someone that makes me happy and I said thanks you too... then he started talking about if he still works third shift he's gonna have to be with someone that will help take care of her when he has her every other 2 wks... is he getting over me too fast? or is he trying to get a reaction from me talking about him getting with someone else...? I didn't let him know but it really hurt me and I said well we'll talk about it when the time comes, who knows what's gonna happen, and he said well... I'll talk to you later... and I said okay! bye. Is he trying to sound like he is not hurting? is he moving on too fast... we have only been broken up three days? is he just trying to see what I would say to him talking about getting with someone else to help him with OUR child?
