Just thought I would share this with you all. Something written on a blog that James Maynard Keenan wrote, and found it to be rather interesting.

  • This is absolutely true- poetry has healed me mentally; trying a natural & organic diet healed me physically. It wasn't an option to do one and not the other.

I am just now feeling like I've hit my pace, opportunities keep falling in my lap. Where I once dreamed wildly of success, I now have to choose a path. Despite the pressures of 'reality' I am trying to learn how to enjoy my life- finally! It's the only one I'll get, and if I'm stressed it'll be shorter. No sense in that, is there?

  • Nope no sense in that at all!

  • Very cool stuff.

  • thanks!

  • how did he know i was dancing naked?

  • *shrugs* cause he's godless like us?

  • How the hell does this have 88 dislikes? Seriously, here I was getting all inspired and then I look down and see that shit. Those 88 people must be some of the most distraught self-loathing losers to ever grace the presence of Youtube. Not to mention the fact that this version of Trekka kicks some serious ass!

  • You have to make time for something you enjoy; stress and frustration increase perception of pain. Trust me on this, I'm no stranger to chronic pain, stress, depression, etc myself.

    *gentle hugs*

  • I wish I could dance, but it's just not that simple. There are other expectations that people have.

I spent 19 years in this "shit." 30-ish surgeries... I think I know pain... but more importantly, that was a way of life. But.. I had a kidney transplant, and now, exactly as Maynard says, I don't know what to do with a lovely day.

But, I still have expectations and commitments that have to be fulfilled. "Partying" is outright out of the question.
