@MadHabber93 Where are you getting your stats? I just looked on the CBC web site is they did a story on gastric bypass surgery in 2010 about the wait times. According to them, minimum about 7 months and up to 12 years. Average is 5 years...

@MadHabber93 I'm not lying, she really did wait nearly 2 years. Until surgery they monitored her condition once a month.

@ThePantyDroper Just looked up bypass surgery wait times in B.C. 50% receive one in 4 weeks. 90% in 8.9 weeks.

@ThePantyDroper You can look on line for by bypass surgery wait times, even B.C., nowhere near 2 years. Most get it within the month. Urgent cases, 48 hours. Just look it up.

@MadHabber93 The thing with the canadian system is it's based on how serious your condition is. If someone has been waiting less than you, they can get surgery quicker because they need it more. This leaves others waiting for a very long time. I'm not sure where you live but in Vancouver overcrowded beds are a serious problem. Hospitals here haven't changed for 30+ years and are just getting expanded now.
