I would hazard to guess that the reason why Ford trucks are still lacking is that the engineering people are beholden to the marketing weenies, who believe that in order to help sell luxury cars, the cheaper vehicles like trucks have to be made ugly and otherwise unappealing. Any cool feature like aerodynamics has to be avoided so that rich twits feel compelled to spend a fortune on Cadillacs etc.

21 mpg is pathertic. almost as pathetic as a tahoe hybrid getting 20 mpg. they havent really done anything new. they didnt even touch the underside and it still has shitty areodynamics

I purchased a 2009 F-150 in July. It is by far the most impressive pickup truck I have ever driven.
Bill Pien and his aero team at Ford know what they are doing. I can attest to the fact of my new truck being very fuel efficient for a full size V-8 truck.
