i just love rugby league
-
rugby league is heaps better these people just havent been introduced to it either that or they are pusseys that need to wake up and smell the roses
-
lol you just wait a few more world cups and football will be the number 1 sport in the country. With 1.2 million soccer players compared to 1 million cricket players, that is more than enough to get all rival sports worried, and where just warming up. Australia has seen nothing yet

Yes..the old sleeping giant theory. Wake me up when it happens. Save the wait mate and move to Europe of South America where you can get your fix every second of the day. Gee I love living in Australia where soccer isn't everything. Just another sport.

Soccer is nowhere near being Australia's number one sport. In fact for a supposed World conquering game, there's some pretty big countries who really don't care for it on the whole. Namely the USA and India. All I can say is, it's great to live in a country where soccer is not the be-all like it is in other countries. It's viewed as just another sport in Australia and that's the way it should be. Gotta love OZ and gotta love King Wally!

Australia's new Number 1 sport
My argument is simple soccer is more popular than rugby league in England and France. It is the most popular sport in 226 countries in total. Nearly all of Europe, All of AFRICA, nearly all of South America, Most of North America, Nearly all of Asia, and many pacific island countries have football as their most popular sport. There are only 35 countries where soccer is not number 1. However countries like Canada and Australia soccer is no1 participation sport.

Soccer is always going to be one of the top participation sports simply because of the soft nature of it. It's the ideal 'mums' game in Australia and always will be. I can't stand watching soccer, but I'll be getting my young ones to play it for obvious reasons.
