Commodore, by Bashkim Isai, is an interactive artwork which basically attempts to explore a digital of armchair generals. The idea is that we see all these things depicted in movies such, for example, The hunt for Red October or Dr. Strangelove: or how I learnt to stop worrying and love the bomb. The idea behind this project was to take that we as civilians never get to be preview to, and to expose it and create a virtual environment that people could engage and interact with - but with a few extra little things. Such as the billowing of smoke on depletion of a ship and the falling and crippling of a mast - and the shooting of canons from the side.
Exhibited at This Way Up 2009 - the Animation and Communication Design Graduate Exhibition.
