Mary Chuzas Pierce, loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend, passed away on March 17, 2008 at the age of 85. She was born in Brockton, Massachusetts on May 22, 1922. As a second-generation American, Mary appreciated her Lithuanian heritage and in later years she would entertain her family with Lithuanian rhymes about jumping over fences to kiss boys. She also loved her American home and would sing obscure patriotic jingles such as "Hats Off!" and "Little Pilgrim Girl." Mary was a devoted and loving wife to her husband Richard Pierce, the luckiest of her many suitors. Richard met Mary on a blind date at the Officer's Club in Boston. After a six-year wartime courtship, they married on February 28, 1948. Mary enjoyed simple New England pleasures with Dick and their four children, including summers at the cabin that Dick built on Lake Winnipesaukee, winters skiing in the White Mountains and games all year round - especially Parcheesi, Scrabble and bridge. Mary had a zest for life. She lived with creativity, intelligence and passion. She enjoyed crafts and painting in watercolors, and in recent years would often hand-paint adorable cards for her family. She never stopped reading and prided herself on having "all her marbles." The family matriarch, she led the family with common sense, humor and tremendous love. Mary was the beloved wife of the late Richard H. Pierce, the loving mother of the late Richard H. Pierce, Jr., and dear sister of the late Sally Lewis and Julia Seminole. Mary is survived by her children Deborah Pierce, son-in-law Curt Lamb, daughter Cheri Pierce and her partner David Wolfson, and Kathryn Dietz and her husband Keith. Grammie will also be missed by her grandchildren Robin Lamb and his wife Erika Soto Lamb, Casey Lamb, Emily Pierce, Rebekah Dietz and Jessica Dietz.

Very well done. Mary Pierce would be proud to know what a wonderful tribute to her you put together. I love the slow pacing, slow pans etc... and plan on using the same thing for my father's memorial slideshow.
