Exactly same problem here with a Monster S2R 1000, no solution yet.

My 999 did that i solved the problem by trading it in for somthing else

I also have an 05 749 with the same stalling problem. Ended up being a burnt exhaust valve as well as severe leak down from the cylinders. Ended up re-ringing and replace valve and readjust tuning. No problems since.

I have a Ducati 749, 06 and have the same problem, told me that TPS is.

@1POB it could be a fuel tap problem or dirt in the carbs

I dont have a 749 but had a monster620 that would stall too, This is common with ducatis so ive heard. Ive owned many japanese bikes, they never stalled on me. go figure..

I have an '06 749. I rode today and left the artificial choke on enough to hold revs around 1250 to 1500 at idol and the bike did not stall like it normally does when coming to stops. I'm not sure what that means or what that could rule out but its something.

Hey is read on a ducati forum that there might be water/condensated water getting into the front spark plug / plug cap. So try buying new spark plugs and plug caps. Would be nice to hear if anyone had a solution to the problem.
Hi,

@Wausch I did as @Derrarocket suggested and bought a 2009 ZX-6R...best choice I ever made :)

I think in reality it could be one of many factors and I've been told (I'm no mechanical genius) that it could be that the bike is running too lean, a weak spark or that the TPS needs to be reset.
The weather seems to play a part. The Air Temp was about -1 in the video above and it seems to happen less when its warmer.
I find my bike does this a lot more when I've been giving it quite a lot of gas and then quickly snap the throttle shut to slow down and once I pull the clutch in it often dies
