  • Now I want to trade in My Stupid SUV for a Bike.

  • I agree with joining just before the jam. Sometimes it just doesnt feel safe enough to ride straight to the front - as these guys are generally concentrating on keeping going

I disagree with undertaking. In the UK - filtering is 100% allowed under all circumstances, including safe manouvers on the opposite side of the road (hence why car drivers are taught to check both blindspots at a halt)

Undertaking isnt possible on 1 lane roads, and riding on the center line isnt considered undertaking

  • Looks OK to me! I noticed a couple of things that I've read somewhere else that seemed to make sense. The first being that filtering is best under 20mph, otherwise might be seen as undertaking by some police. Couldn't tell how fast you were going there though. The second is that I was advised in an advanced article I read that it's a good idea to rejoin traffic just before the end of the jam.The reason being the person at the front is concentrating on traffic ahead not you next to them! Good vid

  • rebelarouser. Filtering is a perfectly legal manouver for bikes. It's actually encouraged in heavy traffic.

Why should bikes sit there adding to the problem of congestion when they don't need to. It's not dangerous if done in a careful and considered manner.

Nothing wrong with what this guy did at all. Textbook filering really.

I'm guessing you don't ride or you'd know this?

  • It's a heavy bike yes but not that hard to ride slowly

  • okay,but its 235kg motorbike,right?? my gsx1200 is 211kg bike...? oor im wrong?

  • I think you would find the GSX14 easy as well. Has a good turning circle and it's upright riding position also helps.

  • okay, but gsx1400 is not realy the bike tu run short turns in small space,i use gsx1200 and its possible to drive him like bicikle, realy easy.....hoever i do like gsx14 too much and it will be my next bike...
