Detailing meet at Swissvax in Yorkshire. After all the demos had been done on the car, wet sanding rotary demos PC demos and people having a go it was decided to prove how much damage can be done with a rotary.
1 hit with 3M fast cut produced smoke but not too much dammage.
2nd hit more smoke and bits of pad flying and it looks like clear coat failure
3rd hit was with farecla G3 and as you will see total destruction. of he panel and the pad.

  • no shit he's gonna burn the paint that way, dumbass...

  • @jo5566200 @jo5566200 That was the whole point of the exercise to show people what paint and clear coat failure looks like. It isn't somthing you want to see but without seeing it in the first place you won't know what to look for. It was done so people could see if a car had paint problems before you start no point going over a car and taking the job on if there is already damaged areas due to over zelous polishing and yes it is possible to go through the coats without a machine.

  • is the guy polishing DaveKG?

  • Yes it is.

  • I see the point of the video.. yeah.

But thb the tittle should be changed to:

"What people without girlfriends do on a Saturday".

  • Were they all car detailers.... or participants in the Special Olympics? Fuck, I've never seen so many retarded losers in a single group before!

  • poor saab :(

  • @strumpeteer

Yes and no. If you edge out a pad at speed on a complex curve in the body, yes. If you're working with a hard clear and is not thin and the temperature is cool, no. This is all relative. For a pro, it is difficult unless you become complacent. If you're new, it is pretty easy to make a minor mistake that is also a costly one.

  • I hate stupid dumb ass people. Anyone notice they are car care product makers? Im sure their products wont do what 3m did. A true waste of our time and theirs. Title should have said how much damage a person with no life can do to a cars paint, not a rotary. Funny part is the lady standing in the back has a look of omg thats amazing didnt no if you held it in one spot it would do that.. O boy

  • The only thing i've burned through was the paint on a plastic bumper ....it takes more heat to burn the paint on a metal panel than it does for plastic , also on the chevy trucks they have these weird rubberish plastic moldings on the door that burn reallly easy ...Beware lol... p.s I hate orbital buffers

  • Interesting stuff.

I've never used a rotary or a DA because I'm terrified of doing some serious damage, but after seeing just how much pressure is needed and for how long, I might just get hold of one :)

  • I wont be buying the product.

  • LOOKS LIKE IT BUFFED RIGHT OUT

  • Po co tego zloma szlifowac, to niebyl majbach...
