  • If I have the money I would sponsor ALL of them :)

I going to sponsor Ardian soon!

  • Any similarities with any other commercial or movie were unintentional. Thanks again for your feedback.

  • WV Ireland together with Dialogue Marketing created the advertisement inspired by a 2007 WV Finland campaign as well as campaigns from other offices including Australia and New Zealand. The essence of child sponsorship is that sponsors can correspond with the actual child they support. Oftentimes parents encourage their own children to keep up the correspondence and form a bond with the sponsored child. The representation of this in the advertising is very real.

  • I have seen commercials you have made before, and they are different kind. There is a letter-theme in some commercials, but not the way how is in this commercial. Why you don't answer my simply question? Who is your agency?

  • The images from our work in Africa are shot in our communities. The Irish mother and child are a representation of how many Irish families and other families around the world communicate with their sponsored child. Sending the rain is simply based on the fact that here in Ireland we have and talk a lot about the rain. :-) I hope this clarifies any issues and let me assure you again, any similarities with the movie were not intentional.

  • This type of advertising has been commonly used in WV worldwide for a number of years. Its important for us to show both our sponsors and the communities we support.
