I lived there from 82-94. surfed alone for years, best time of my life.. At one point I lived under a tree right on the point for 3 years and surfed everyday. Now that there is a 4 season hotel there and a big wall around the property, need a boat to get to the surf. Not the same magic the place used to have. When there is swell, its amazing....

I was there in '74. Couldn't make it out to the point cause the road was washed out. A couple of abandoned VW's rusting away beyond the creek. The locals pointed to them "tiburones, tiburones. Muy peligroso! guess they wanted the place to themselves, or maybe they got eaten soon after.
