pedal steel (major scale 1)

This is a major scale played "virticaly " on the pedal steel (a pose to horizontally, that we will see in another video) This video shows the picking hand and the feet as there is NO need to move the bar, so i filmed it using open strings.



Chris is a Guitarist/Pedal Steel Guitarist with many years experience in the Music profession.

Based in Manchester U.K. In June 2009 he graduated from Salford University with a BA Honours degree in Popular Music and Recording specialising in Music Performance and Musical Direction. Originally a guitar player; his passion for country music moved him towards the Pedal Steel. Since first learning to play the Pedal Steel he has featured the instrument in many different styles within his work, including, but not limited to, Country, Jazz, Blues and Bluegrass. More Recently working with songwriters such as Alexis Mclean and Ruth & Gabriel Minnikin on their U.K. tour (2010). This year Chris will be playing with U.K. shows with Gabriel Minnikin on his new album featuring a full orchestra & choir, Jo Rose, Dominic Halpin and Jenny McCormick.


Chris has supported acts such as Jools Holland, Jose Gonzalez and Frazey ford (The Be Good Tanyas)


Chris is available for hire as a session musician for recording or touring and as a tutor. Chris is based in Withington (Manchester).
