As an experiment to go with my story about Nico Nico Douga in Wired Magazine's June 08 issue, a bunch of us gathered in the WIRED kitchen in San Francisco to dance the Uma Uma, a popular web meme on the Japanese YouTube-like site. Starring Chris Baker, Jenna Wortham, Angela Watercutter, Jason Tanz, Miguel Pino, and The Linux Penguin.

@Kailys3 No, but unlike youtube, on niconico douga when you post a comment, it is set to scroll across the screen at whatever point in the video you were at when you posted the comment. There's no "comments page" like on youtube, you just see all the comments as you watch the video. When there's a ton of comments, the oldest ones don't show up anymore. There's also a button to hide comments.

The comment stream confuses me. Are people able to post live comments on broadcasts?

They might ^^; I have no idea if they do or not. But I figured since the actual title wasn't mentioned anywhere in the info, it would be helpful to post the name incase they want to add it to the tags or something so more people would be able to view this :3

They probably call it Uma Uma in Japan. For whatever reason they like.

Hahahaha, absolutely love the video. To help out, the actual name of the song isn't Uma Uma, it's Caramelldansen. Regardless, great video!!!!!!!
