he never embraced his ethnicity before, not until he came to the philippines to be a "big" star. ganun lang ba un?
i like charlie green. but i believe he's as much a filipino as say, a typical african-american embracing his african culture. that is to say that i believe who and what you are falls largely to the environment/society/culture of where u grew up in. we are the sum of our experiences. being a filipino is knowing the blood, sweat and tears we put in this country.

he is not a Filipino,he cannot speak Filipino. He was born in d UK and was brought up in UK. He's never been mentioned as a Filipino in UKs Talent show.I am wondering why he won this award together with Charice even if he cannot match Charice's contribution to Philippine music. This decision was biased and unfair for all Filipino striving musicians.I lost my faith to who may ever organised this award.SHAME ON YOU!!There are more deserving musicians in the phils. as this english speaking boy.

If it's not mentioned in the show, would it negate him as a Filipino? Having Filipino blood means your Filipino. Even foreigners can be Filipino by heart!!! Yes, it's right that there's lots of talented Filipinos in the Philippines but shouldn't we also be proud of the talented Filipinos worldwide? Yes, what Charice achieved in a short time is amazing but is comparison needed? Be proud that such talents are recognized regardless of where they came from or what nationality they are!!!

It's your own definition of what a true Filipino is. A Filipino for me is someone who bears the sentiments, values and mentality who embraces his heritage with pride. You are born in this generation who are always impressed of the racial and social background of an individual rather than what he's contributed to the country.

wah! "... always impressed of the racial and social background"!!! There're are lots of those, yes! But what made you think that I'm not impressed with ones contributions to one's country? I too believe that a Filipino is someone who bears the sentiments, values, mentality and embraces his heritage with pride but does having a diluted blood/heritage not entitle a part Filipino to have the same sentiments, values, mentality and pride for his/her heritage?
