I'd say that's the point. She wants as many of *her people* as possible to see the film and then pan it like mad. "I saw it, and it STINKS!"
Much like all the frauds you see on the internet who go, "Oh, I USED to be a fan of Ayn Rand, and I ate up all she wrote and said--but THEN I got a dose of the REAL world, and NOW I HATE Rand!!!"

There is a reason that Atlas Shrugged is still #2 best seller of all time!!

These thingies are a little cheesy, but funny. <3

@buybuydandavis that was not what I remember from the book, but you may very well be right. I read the book a few years ago. I don't remember her being a big character: just someone that would only value her social projection.
-
@UnconformistSheep He purpose and goal in the book was to destroy her husband because he was good. The power she wanted and exercised was the power to tear him down. That was her primary motivation.

I like the actress they got for Lillian, but this voicemail didn't make sense in the context of the story. The "anyone and everyone" Lillian would be interested in wouldn't be going to the movie, and would just sputter "hateful" if asked about it.

Just like Lillian. Is she defenfing Hank, or is she satirizing him? Is she supporting the film, or degrading with with sarcasm?

This is my favorite one. So hilarious! It's dead on!
I was kind of hoping for Dagny. I guess tomorrow morning.

@RushLimborg like in the book, her only concern is her social image.
she never defies Hank in the book. she might have said a couple of satirical remarks about her husband, but it was always within a social context. socializing, for the sake of socializing, is her business.
