  • Shouldn't the fans be on the side by the intercooler?

  • @Mubble I agree that there should be additional fans at the intercooler. One owner who was datalogging his pull noted very undesirable intake temps.

  • stock internals? cams? what are you tuning with?

  • @krzfly Not my car, I don't really know much about his car other than the TD06. I seem to remember that it is a chip-tune on the factory ecu (I think).

  • @rjkStudios oh ok....i plan on getting a mr2 soon so im doing as much research as i can before hand...

  • @tevinm14 the fans are at the front for the benefit of the radiator and coolant temp. There should have been at least one fan at the side for the intercooler. We were pulling high intake temps that day.

Repeated dyno pulls without a fan at the front of the radiator will see your engine temp skyrocket very quickly into unwanted territory.

  • @rjkStudios may i ask why the fans arent in the back of the car? where the mid-engine is? or does this one have an engine in the front some way?

  • @Quickmr2 no metal headgaskets are needed!!!, alot of people dont know this but the stock setting torque on the 2nd gen 3sgte head is way undertightend, the head needs to be torqued a little more, cant remember the scource of this information but it was a TRD guide online... look it up google helps, i use to blow head gaskets all the time at 18 psi, not anymore

  • @italianmr2kid actually if u clip a ct 26 at about a 10 to 12 degree clip it will produce boost well past 6500 rpm an easy25 to 30hp boost, and doing fuel cut and all the nececities, the moter it would be pushing around 350... turbo supra injectors... a fuel pressure regulator and a nice fat 4" intercooler = around 350+ whp on stock internals, now add the extra 25 to 30 hp the ct 26 will give u and u have a stock 3sgte that can handle over 400 hp doing quater miles in 10 - 11 secs ;)

  • @Cheech413 you're not bright are you? the stock ct26 isn't good past 15 lbs. secondly, most people have a second gen 2 3sgte, which i guess would be a "first gen sw20" push more than 11 lbs. like me. i'm running 13psi. and i can run 14-15 if i feel like it. you're not getting 330whp out of a stock turbo unless it's a ct20b and you have alot of supporting mods. so hey piece of advice, next time don't just throw out numbers because you know a chassis code and a turbo code. ;)

  • 1: you cant make 330 with a ct26 or even 260 at 17psi

    2. You cant tune the factory ecu

  • bov is't and mod....
