  • @ladythreecats agar agar can often be found at asian stores, but "special" agar such as these ones, texturas or from sosa is better because often it's more concentrated and gives less taste. The ordinary agar agar that's often sold at asian stores tend to give off a bit of unwanted flavour, and they are sold with different colourings added. So if you buy asian agar, remember to look for clear sachets, you don't want to end up with a blue or green jelly right?

  • @Holmeswannabe Actually every alcohol will do with Agar BUT! it must contain enough water for it to work. I have never seen a less than 40% al. drink not jellify. Maybe try with a bit more agar ? Cheers!

  • @dscales90 As less as possible :) 0,8 gram should do just fine. Cheers!

  • I've tried with a different alcohol and Agar agar doesn't seem to work... It seems there needs to be sometime of sugar content for it to do so.

  • About how much Agar-Agar is used for 1/3 cup of rum?

  • agar agar is my best friend!
