Erie police took a man into custody June 9 on suspicion he robbed an east side gas station and convenience store. Police took the man into custody after stopping his green Chevrolet Trailblazer in the 600 block of East 10th St. shortly before 9 a.m. His identity was not revealed. A vehicle of a similar description to the one he was driving was reported leaving the Kwik Fill station, 2304 Buffalo Road, at the time of the robbery earlier this morning, police said. A pile of cash was sitting between the front seats of the vehicle. A white bandanna was stuck in the passenger's side door console. Erie police Lt. John McCall said the man was being held for questioning.
