  • Awesome Vlog especially you showed the classic video! Language which is still alive always change and improved in a time. ASL is really alive and definitely is not dead language. Thorough years as I am alive, I see ASL is changing as other languages.

  • @rshartist very true that to be a "live" language, it has to grow and change....but in the case of an "oppressed" language, we need to be wary and serious about which changes to embrace and which to resist, you know? Yes, there have been some marvelous changes so I m indeed hopeful which I believe you are too.

  • LONG LIVE ASL !

  • Enjoy your vlog! Thank you for sharing it with us.

  • Hey! You were on the Vista Signing Naturally dvd I got with my ASL curriculum! neat!

  • I enjoyed your comments on creating original ASL content to match with English content. I think that's the point, right? Not follow English grammar but have ASL content in ASL in Deaf way. Can I show your vlog to people I'm working with on developing ASL health content to match English health content?

  • @Deafhoodismysavior agree Harlan Lane rocks...and so is everybody else! smile

  • @pdurr cool idea about developing the "chorus". Believe Paddy Ladd has a couple of "songs" with chorus at the back of Understanding Deaf Culture. Yes, in English that we still need to translate, but believe it was written with signing in mind. See see. Yeah, I thought it cool what ASLized is doing with stringing pieces of different people creating "what happens next". Thanks for adding your great ideas.

  • @wcmithaug definitely!

  • @TSLlife2 Hey, TSLife2! wow long time no contact. Thanks for dropping by this comment. Wow, you experienced Spectrum too? I did go for a week during a summer. Was a marvelous experience. Definitely Spectrum is part of our journey to be better ASL presenters and Deaf artists.

  • @V2Hill ha. Thanks for your comment. Me too enjoy the rhythms but definitely not satisfied with the translation/ASL part itself. I've seen a lot of improvement in this area and look forward to more.
