Iron Maiden lip synched in their day on Top of the Pops (Running free) and on a german show (Wasted years) where they changed instruments during the perfomance.

lip sync is usually never used by metal bands (have you guys ever seen a metal band lip sync??) its a problem with TOTP, totp forces EVERYONE to lip sync. policy.
