I hadn't planned on posting a Christmas video until Thanksgiving night but I wanted to do this for my dear friend Gwen .This is a tribute to her late husband Charlie,who was "Santa Charlie" for a number of years at the Mall.I wrote this especially for Gwen,hoping it will cheer her up. He had a love for children one and all
That's why at this time of year,you'd find him at the Mall

A puppy dog,some Lincoln logs, a bike and electric train
Some cowboy boots,a gun that shoots,remote control air-plane
For goodness sake,an Easy Bake,a doll that wets and cries
These requests sure put a gleam in Santa Charlie's eyes

A little boy walked up to him,gave his snow white beard a tug
Said Santa I just had to feel
Santa Charlie picked him up and with a tender hug
He said I know you just had to know
If I am for real

He showed those children lots of love
In the years that he was there
Outside the J C Penny store
In Santa Charlie's chair

And although another Santa fills his chair
The Mall still may look the same,since he has gone on
