  • Very good video

  • It's a LOT easy than I thought it would be! I might take this up myself. Thanks

  • Heather- you are an inspiration to me! You make it look so easy! I hope to get into beekeeping this coming spring. I am an older woman, with arthritis, and was wondering if it will be difficult for me to lift those hives. I will continue to watch your videos- they are A1! Thank you and keep up the great work!

  • MICROWAVE???? you would take an all natural beautiful product and nuke it?? that destroys its fantastic nutrient properties... why not just warm the bottles in warm water to return the honey to a liquid state. Much better i think.

  • Nice I love honey :) but I'm allergic to wasps and bees :(

  • Heather thank you for a professional presentation. I sat here with my two children & watched it. We loved it!!!!! We also learned something that we didnt know @ 5:14.. Thank you so much and God bless.....

  • Heather,

Thanks for the info. Very well done. I am a novice bee keeper and am looking forward to my first honey harvest soon.

  • Hiya Heather

I found your video very interesting.

    I'm a honey lover, not a beekeeper.

I like my honey to include the wax.

I was wondering, as you reuse the wax after spinning, does it degrade over a period, or do you have to strip it out occasionally? Or use it as cut combs?

  • Thanks for the video. I enjoyed it. Only thing is in future videos you probably shouldn't chew gum (or was it wax?).

Also you put the frames in the extractor backwards. The bees form the comb so that it is angled slightly upwards so the nectar they put in there doesn't spill out. Therefore you need to put the frames in the extractor with the top bar facing away from the center. This will get you more honey and require less cleaning by the bees.

  • Heather, this is a wonderfully made and educational video. You presentation reveals how fascinating honeybees and bekeeping are. A rewarding experience...both beekeeping and watching your video.
