I can't recall having to re-install windows for a while, maybe since Mid 2010? Maybe even early 2010. My computer hasn't been slow, and I know a defragment has been much needed, but meh.. Just haven't thought about it. Besides, I have Linux on my backup hard drive. If a file does somehow go missing, I can simply replace it.

The most maintenance I really do, is virus scans, but I rarely ever catch, or even suspect a virus. XD

Windows XP wasn't self destructive, in fact the only problem I've ever had was with third party programs, or my own screw ups. Otherwise XP has never "Killed itself". Not for me at least, anytime I look back now it was either human error or failed hardware. Neither the fault of Windows XP, even if it can be misleading for newbies, especially on the web.

But, I imagine windows 7 is all the better if you have the hardware. I haven't had much hands on with it yet, but I plan to.

  • wow your laptop is seriously screwed up lol

  • nice^^

  • XP Swore at us! XD A very LONG swear! LOL
