I don't think anyone likes the stick shaker.
-
was this caused by poor maintenance on the Air data or Pitot static system?
-
@Lynkk and to increase thrust

Modern jets are pretty reliable. This is one of the few scenarios when you get all the automation working against you at the same time. A sensor in the system is faulty and providing all the rest of the flight management systems with erroneous data. Thankfully the end result of this was a safe landing. Unfortunately we still see endings that are not as pleasant and they serve as a reminder that the above situation can and will happen again.

That would leave the stall warning and the stick shaker to deal with. That would buy some peace and quiet to do the checklist. Hopefully after completing the checklist you can reengage the flight director, auto throttle and autopilot one by one and we are back in business.
-
If I am not wrong, the several episodes of warnings from the autopilot/autothrust systems were due to either the pilots trying to re-engage the autopilot or the system automatically trying to re-engage the autothrottle when a flight mode was selected.
A decision to disconnect the autopilot + autothrottle + flight director and fly a target pitch with a reasonable power setting would remove some of the distractions.

The environment can be sensory overload for the pilots when this situation happens. Bells and whistles and shocking vibrations on the control column......all these warnings built to save you from a bad situation are now acting in error and confusing you.
In fact, the autopilot and autothrust are also confused. due to the single failure of the ADIRU

This is probably one of the first lessons that a new pilot on modern commercial jet gets to experience in the simulator. Most simulator instructors would want to impress upon you from day one (either from kind words of wisdom or putting you unknowingly through the above experience in a simulator) that if the aircraft gets confused, you must and can manually fly the aircraft

shit if the control starts shacking that means the plane is gonna stall? I saw on Air Crash Investigation that a Turkish Airline plane had something smiliar. Stalled and crash in the sea. that happened around 1996

ive been on 9M-MRG many times
So in this instance.. you should ignore the PFD's and fly using the standby analog instruments?

Nope. The main displays seem fine. The problem seems to be with the FD computers (AP and AT). But that's easy to say in hindsight. :-p

I don't know why they waited so long to disconnect the AP

@Lynkk The AP turned off early, but the AT kept turning on and off since the auto-throttle MASTER switch was accidentally left on. A somewhat understandable thing considering the bells and whistles.
