Former UN Ambassador John Bolton argues that it was the enhanced interrogation (read: torture) policies started under George Bush and Dick Cheney that led to the death of 9/11 mastermind Osama Bin Laden and that President Obama had nothing to do with it. He made the case in an appearance on Fox News with guest hot Liz Cheney filling in for Sean Hannity. The Young Turks host Cenk Uygur breaks it down.

And yet, the Special Operations Navy Seal in charge said that Obama was integral to the planning of the operation, was "the smartest person in the room" and "had knowledge that I would expect of someone who had 30 years in the military". The president is the head of the military; they did not act independently of him and they did not plan the operation without him. The simple fact is that Obama is a more effective commander in chief than Bush.

I kind of agree with this actually, I mean it would explain why Obama got a Nobel Peace Prize, so soon in his election... I know i'm going to get a lot of hate for this comment, i'm just saying if you think about it, it does make some sense. But if you have some factual reason to the contrary then i'd love to hear it, I still have yet to understand what Obama's Nobel Peace Prize was for.
