Note... the Tivo boxes available in 2011 are abit more enhanced than what is depicted here. In my case, I just got FIOS. The FIOS (cable guy) installer brought out a cable card. He spent most the time setting up the outside boxes/and internal router. He had to spend about 10minutes on the Tivo box.

so why the fuck do you pay monthly for tivo for? if your gonna use your cable service and netflix? do you still need a tivo monthly plan?

directv is better than tivo.. i have directv here in mexico and its %100 HD

it doesn't actually need a phone line if you high speed internet, but the reasoning for this is so you can utilize the tivo service meaning so you can get the program info and so you can set up a season pass which will allow the tivo to record every time that show is suppose to come on.

I agree! My cable box blows and they have no other choice for their customers, so it might be TIVO time for me!
