Due to popular demand, I have posted the United Artists Theatres' policy trailer from 1989.

I give all credit to JoeCool85 of DailyMotion.com for having this video.

  • Thank you so much for this! I remember this policy trailer running in front of films like "Drop Dead Fred", "Creepshow 2", "Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare", and many other films I saw at the two United Artists theaters we had. They closed in 1999 and four out of the five theaters in my hometown are now owned by Regal Entertainment Group and Carmike Cinemas, respectively. The fifth is owned by a smaller company, Trademark Cinemas.

  • No problem.

  • Thank you for increasing the volume on this video. Sounds much better now. :-)

  • I actually did not do anything to increase the volume. I just took the video from another website as it was and posted it to YouTube. Thank you for the kind words, though.

  • Hmmm. Suddenly it's louder on my computer for some reason. I thought you had edited the video...

  • Nope, I have changed nothing. I am glad to hear (no pun intended) that your computer's sound system is working well, though.

  • I remember seeing "The Rescuers Down Under" was back in 1990

  • I remember also saw as "An American Tail: Fievel Goes West" and "Beauty and the Beast" back in 1991

  • the policy trailer was first shown in 1989 before Troop Beverly Hills, Drop Dead Fred, The Litlte Mermaid and Loverboy.

  • I remember going to our UA theater all the time and stuff like this, Hollywood bought it in '99 and closed it soon after. The building is now a bridal shop surprisinglu enough.

  • some trivia on this policy trailer: if you guys didn't notice, the text shown has the background of the united artists 1994 movie logo

  • @sfericsf Thank you! I KNEW I wasn't imagining things! I wonder if the Enea organization legitimately licensed the footage from UA...

  • @TServo2049 - Yes, this was also used by EM Theatres in Dublin & Pleasanton! It had different music over it, and the end was edited to say EM Theatres. They basically stole this trailer and added their own music and name/logo at the end!

  • Is it just me, or was this also used by EM Theatres, who used to operate the Dublin Cinema in Dublin,CA and the Galaxy 8 in Pleasanton?

This looks familiar, but I swear I saw a version which had the EM logo instead...

  • I remember this trailer back in the early 1990's in a few old theaters (formerly Eric) in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania. I have seen movies like...Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Cool World, and Mortal Kombat. Those old movie houses were torn down and we have a multiplex across from the King of Prussia Plaza including an IMAX.
