I used to be a DJ in the 1980's & used to live for the remixes, especially those coming out of the UK. There is a beautiful instrumental version of this song that is up-tempo, very melodic, and uses mainly bells - absolutely outstanding! I just listened to all the various versions of this song that are posted here.. They're all nice but NONE of them even compare to the one I'm referring to. Does anyone here know/remember what I'm talking about? And if so, do you know where I can get it?

"Depeche Mode" means "Fashion News" it was the actual name of a french fashion magazine.
Although, it's true that depèche also means hurry up. because a "depeche" is a short, quick news.
Also, this version is boring, the original is 1000% better.
