Monitoring i-VTEC using a ScanGaugeII on an 8th gen Honda Civic. i-VTEC as implemented on the R18 engine improves fuel economy. The engine must be warm, engine speed must be between 1,000 and 3,500 rpm, and engine load must be comparable to cruising conditions.

  • I dont need a guage to tell when my vtec kicks in because its SCREAMING. Seriously what the hell are you talking about? I have an SG2 on my rsx-s.

  • try focusing on the gauge next time? btw what rpm does vtec kick in
