On my way to a Medical and Dental Mission in one of the barangays of Malilipot, I stopped by to see how Majestic Mayon Volcano is doing...


She is now gray-tinged as opposed to her blue-green resting aura back in March 2009 as you can see on this link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aM6KePv1nXY


This particular video was filmed using a Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ5 compact digital camera on December 15, 2009 8:47AM (Philippine time) along the National road, barangay Padang, Legazpi City, province of Albay, Republic of the Philippines; after lava flow and ash spewing early morning December 14th. This location is ~15-20km away from the foot of the volcano (just my guess).

I just hope that concerned government agencies have successfully evacuated those within the 6-kilometer permanent and 8-kilometer extended danger zones.


My fellow Albayanos especially those in emergency shelters and evacuation sites will need your prayers during this troubled time. May all of us have safe Christmas.

I think that volcanoes are amazingly dangerous and beautiful. I have a real fascination for those mountains. I just think it's pretty sad if this thing blows up...Might have a pyroclastic flow there since it's a stratovolcano...and will of destroy most of the city...I dont't how big the city is actually...but anyway...I wish these guys some luck
